DETAILED ITINERARY

Wed. Sept. 17 We depart for to Frankfurt, Germany. Appropriate meals will be served during the flight.

Thurs. Sept. 18 After arrival in Frankfurt we transfer to our hotel in Bad Schwalbach for rest and relaxation. Welcome Dinner tonight will be at our hotel. (D)

Fri. Sept. 19 Full-day excursion to Koblenz, the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers, a Rhine River cruise, a visit to the Lorelei rock, and more.... Dinner in Ruedesheim at a local wine restaurant tonight. Late return to our hotel. (B, D)

Sat. Sept. 20 Today we travel to the medieval town of Rothenburg in upper Bavaria to see the Altar of the Holy Blood and other interesting sights. Dinner at our hotel. Special evening walk with a local guide. Overnight. (B, D)

Sun. Sept. 21 On to Salzburg, Austria for sightseeing, free time to visit the Fortress, and dinner and overnight in Salzburg. (B, D)

Mon. Sept. 22 In the morning we visit the Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden. Travel to Munich. In late afternoon we'll enjoy the fun and frolic at the Oktoberfest Grounds with free time for Dinner. Overnight in Munich (B, D)

Tues. Sept. 23 Morning visit of Nymphenburg Palace, then the Olympic Grounds and free time for lunch before proceeding south to the Ettal area, visiting Linderhof Palace before we check into our hotel in Ettal for dinner and overnight. (B, D).

Wed. Sept. 24 The day is spent in the Oberammergau area visiting such highlights as the Abbey of Ettal, the Wies Church, and a picture stop at the Castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Late afternoon shopping in Oberammergau. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Ettal. (B,D)

Thurs. Sept. 25 We depart from Ettal and stop in Ulm - birthplace of Albert Einstein - and city with the highest church steeple in the world. On to Heidelberg to visit its 14th century Castle. Dinner in Heidelberg. Overnight in the Frankfurt area. (B, D)

Fri. Sept. 26 After a leisurely buffet breakfast this morning we proceed to Frankfurt Airport for our flight to the U.S..
