October 11 Wednesday
Flight from the USA to Zurich on Continental Airlines. Leave from Cleveland at 3:35pm and connect in Newark to your international flight to Zurich at 6:50pm
October 12 Thursday - Lucerne
October 13 Friday - Lucerne
We spend 2 nights in the year-round resort of Lucerne, visiting the Lion Monument and Glacier Garden, the Jesuit Church and the wooden Covered Bridge. Friday we travel by boat on Lake Lucerne to Vitznau, visit the oldest cogwheel station in Switzerland, ascend the Rigi mountain, descend to Art Goldau and return to Lucerne by coach. In the evening we have included a typical Swiss Folklore Show with dinner.
October 14 Saturday - Zermatt
We travel by coach to Andermatt where we board the "Glacier Express" for an unforgettable scenic journey to Zermatt. We'll pack an overnight bag (or small case that rolls) to spend the night here in Zermatt. We disembark in Zermatt and spend the late afternoon shopping, have dinner and overnight.
October 15 Sunday - Interlaken 4 nights
The Matterhorn reaches high up into the heavens. Zermatt is a town free of cars. By cogwheel we ascend the Gornergrat for unimaginable Alpine vistas, before returning to Zermatt, where we board our afternoon train to Interlaken. En route we pass through the 12-mile Loetschberg tunnel.

During our 4-night stay in Interlaken we take a full-day excursion to the renowned lakeside resort of Montreux traveling on the Panorama Express and the Salon Bleu. After free time for lunch in Montreux we visit the Castle of Chillon by the Lake of Geneva, and our motorcoach will whisk us back to Interlaken in late afternoon. On another day an exciting trip into the mountains will have us first drive to Stechelberg in the valley and ascend by cableway to Muerren for a look around this town which is free of cars. From here you have the option to continue up to the Schilthorn - James Bond territory. We only have one day left for sightseein and shopping and today we'll visit the nearby capital of Berne. After a brief city tour you'll get to walk around and window-shop, see the bear pit and the astrological clock, and even if it should rain, there are over 4 miles of covered sidewalks!! We return to Interlaken for our Farewell Dinner and last-minute packing. Anyone for the Casino?
October 19 Thursday
We have an early start this morning transferring to Zurich International Airport for our return flight to the US.
